Surgical outcomes of newer techniques of breast oncoplasty in selected cases of Ca breast
Abstract
Carcinoma breast is the second most common carcinoma worldwide in females. There is a paradigm shift from Modified Radical Mastectomy to Breast Conservation Surgery in the last decade with no compromise in oncological outcomes. Whilst change of techniques previously encompassed only breast conservation – where shape and volume of the operated breast were not focused upon heavily; gradually a change in incision planning and concepts of volume displacement and replacement seeped in and oncological as well as cosmetic outcome were focused upon.
This presentation will focus upon surgical outcomes using oncoplastic techniques according to location of tumor in various quadrants of the breast.
