Prognostic significance of androgen receptor expression in triple-negative breast cancer
Abstract
Determining the expression of androgen receptors (AR) in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an important task for oncologists. The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between AR expression and clinical, genetic, and prognostic factors in TNBC. The study included 246 patients with TNBC between 2014 and 2024. All patients had their AR expression levels determined by immunohistochemical methods, and their clinical and genetic (44 genes) tumor parameters were analyzed. AR expression is associated with old age, metastatic lesion of regional lymph nodes, and expression of CTSL2, AURKA, KRT5, CCND1, BCL2, FGFR4, TMEM45A, MiKI67, MYBL2, CDKN2A, FOXA1, SFRP1, PTEN, CD68, EMSY, GATA3, EXO1, PPP2R2A, TPX2, PAK1, PTTG1, UBE2T, KIF14, CCNB1, BAG1, TMEM45B, MYC, MIA, BIRC5, PD-L1, TRAC, ZNF703, TYMS, CCNE, ANLN and an unfavorable long-term prognosis for breast cancer.
Biography
Ivan Panchenko, at the age of 33, defended his PhD at Ulyanovsk State University, Russia. His research interests include the treatment and molecular diagnostic of triple-negative breast cancer. He has more then 30 publications that have been cited 9 times, and his h-index is 2.
